Catherine Elsen is Professor at University of Liège and Member of the Collegium of the Royal Academy of Belgium. She holds a PhD in Engineering Sciences and MS degrees in Social Sciences and Architectural Engineering. Her research interests cover design processes, tools and methods.

Charlotte Dautremont holds a MS degree and a PhD in Architecture. Her research focuses on collective practices in ecodesign and within circular construction. Inside Inter’Act lab, she is in charge of the ARC HabitAge research project.

Audrey Mertens holds a MS degree in Architectural Engineering from ULiège. After some field experience in architectural agencies, she returns to research and takes a step back from the profession through her thesis, studying the interactions between architects and their end-users.

Clémentine Schelings holds a MS degree in Architectural Engineering and a PhD in Engineering Sciences. Her research focuses on the renewal of participatory approaches for the making of cities and territories and her research interests are user-centered design, co-design and citizen participation.

As an enthusiast of co-creation, Çiğdem Yönder is currently studying the tools and methods operationalized for co-design and how they support designers and users interaction. By this investigation, she aims to improve the architectural service experience for both architects and their users/clients.

Sophie Brosius holds a MS degree in Architectural Engineering. Her research interests cover empathy in design, and acceptability of assistive technologies for both older and impaired inhabitants.

Trained as an Architectural Engineer, Alice Daminet is a PhD candidate at UHasselt and collaborator at Inter’Act. Her doctoral research engages in feminist inquiries into Cancer Care Architecture as shaped by care practices, following earlier explorations of users’ perception of collective memory and cultural meaning of industrial heritage.

Aini Guillamon i Forn graduated in Industrial Design Engineering, and now works for a semester at Inter’Act as a research intern. She develops and designs probes to support elderly participation in the context of the STAGE research project.

Elisa Hofmann holds a MS degree in Architectural Engineering. She develops research in innovative building materials and innovative re-use processes for the building industry, under the joint supervision of Prof. Luc Courard and Dr. Audrey Mertens.

Louise Masciarelli holds a degree in Architectural Engineering from ULiège. She conducts her thesis at the University of Liège and at Hasselt University (ArcK lab). Her research focuses on how architecture can contribute to the well-being of long terme patients in hospitals environments.

Valentine Papillon holds a MS degree in Architectural Engineering. She is a teaching assistant at ULiege. Her research interests cover participatory processes, especially involving the elderly; she conducts her PhD under the joint supervision of Prof. Elsen and Dr. Schelings.

Valériane holds a MS degree in Architecture from ULiège. Her PhD research is about ageing well at home, and specifically how the internal/external living environment impact ageing, considered through the specific lens of sleep and physical activity.

Maxim Lamirande, a post-doctoral researcher, holds a BSc of Industrial Design and a MASc in Design and Complexity from the UdeM. They hold a PhD in Design & Innovation from the Open University. Their research focuses on amplifying the voices and lived experiences of users across the project development process.

Gwendoline Schaff holds a PhD in Architecture from the University of Liège and Hasselt University. She is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher in the « Housing, Development & Management » group, Department of Architecture and Built Environment, Lund University, Sweden.

Lara Vigneron is co-founder of WeLL (Wallonia e-health Living Lab) which supports innovation projects in the health domain. After a MS degree and a PhD in Engineering Sciences, she collaborate scientifically with Inter’Act throughout the development of participatory and user-centered solutions.
